Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting after enrolling in Stanford University. After a few early parts, including Pleasantville and Election. The role she played as Elle Woods on the blockbuster Legally Blonde marked a pivotal event in her professional career. Witherspoon's role as Elle Woods in Walk the Line earned her an Academy Award nomination in 2005. Water for Elephants, This Means War, and Wild are a few of her most recent movies. She wound up with the role of lead actress in her debut motion picture The Man in the Moon (1991) at just 14 years old. Witherspoon was so tempted to quit acting her initial year after her graduation that she thought about pursuing a career in medicine. She also appeared as an actor in The Dictator (1998) and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2006). Apart from her acting work, she's an excellent painter, and has shown her work in a number of galleries.
