The debut album of Aaliyah Age Ain't Nothin but a Number came out in 1994. It was Gold when she was 15 years old. It was made as part of a group that was greatly influenced by R. Kelly and it brought her into the limelight. In 1996, she released her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. It contained the hit number one single If Your girl only had known. Aaliyah achieved international recognition for her R&B vocals with the album. In 2000 she starred in the romantic action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial arts legend Jet-Li. The role was offered to her when she was spotted by the film's producer Joel Silver at an awards ceremony. She was cast in the film based on Anne Rice, a vampire movie Queen of the Damned, that was released in 2002. After that, she entered the Matrix by playing Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also been on The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 and The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. Other notable works she has done include Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. Commercials for her show have included big brands, like Volvo. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues to perform as an actress.
