Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on 9 August 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. In Newark Whitney started singing with the church choir as a small child. at the age of 15, she accompanied her mother the background vocals for Chaka's smash Im Every Woman from 1978. In the year 1981, she worked as a fashion model and appeared on the Seventeen cover. She also performed the backing vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine. The singer began her career as a lead vocalist with the band from New York called Material and it was the excellence of her vocal work together that brought the attention of major record labels, including Arista which she signed with in 1983 and where she would remain for the remainder the duration of her career. Her debut album Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and became the biggest-selling album of a debut artist. It featured a number of hits such as How Will I Know You're Good to Me, Saving all My Love For you and The Most Beautiful Love of All. It helped her achieve seven US chart-topping songs in succession which surpasses the Beatles. In its initial US year, the album was sold over 3 million units. It went on to be purchased by 25 million people worldwide, earning her the first Grammy. The follow-up album released in 1987 Whitney featuring the hit songs What Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built on her success but it was her 1992 movie The Bodyguard (1992) that established her as one of the most successful artists in history. Though the movie was not highly appreciated and neither did her performance, but the soundtrack to her Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the top of both singles and albums charts in the United States for a period of time. She sold 44,000,000 copies. Their daughter Bobbi is born the month of March in 1993. This was the year after she wed Bobby Brown. Her drug addiction began around this time and, by 1996, she had been a frequent user.

Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she is employed by CNN as both a reporter, anchorwoman as well as a political correspondent. She hosted a variety of weekend programs on the network, including Evans & Novak: Late Edition" and Inside Politics." She was previously employed by NBC as well as CBS. Bash has been awarded numerous awards, including a place at the top of the Women in Washington Power List from Elle magazine. Numerous young journalists admire her for having incredible reporting/anchoring capabilities.
