Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. She is the current president and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is the daughter of a California born and raised in a well-off family. Jerry Buss, her father, was an entrepreneur with a real estate business who later eventually became the proprietor of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. When she was in the year 1972, her parents separated in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally lost. Her family's business was started in the age of 19 to become the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. In the future, she established the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers She was also the president of Great Western Forum. Buss was the inheritor of her share of the Lakers through her father's estate in the year 2013. The five siblings she had were the inheritors through a family estate trust. She assumed the office of the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its headquarters at Los Angeles.
