Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. She is currently the president and the controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a California native who grew in a wealthy family. The father of her Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon who later became the owner of the Lakers as well as other sports companies. Her parents parted ways in 1972, which caused her to feel like she was abandoned. In the year 19 she was appointed the General Manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. Then, she established the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. The position she held was president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming vice-president for the Lakers. Buss along with her five brothers and sisters and their father, who owned the Lakers and was their controlling shareholder until his passing away in 2013, received this ownership through an estate.
