Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She is the President and the controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. The California native, Buss has been raised by an extremely wealthy family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon and then later owned the Lakers. When her parents split in 1972 She began feeling in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. At the age 19 she became the General Manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. The team was later renamed her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. The position she held was the president for Great Western Forum prior to becoming vice-president for the Lakers. Buss and her siblings, five siblings and brothers as well as their father, who owned the Lakers and ruled them until the time of his death in 2013, inherited this ownership through an estate. They each enjoyed the same the right to vote. Buss was elected in 2013 to take over the presidency of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
